Job description

We are looking for an HR Specialist to join our team and monitor all Human Resources functions for a medical office, spa and lounge. This position is mostly remote work but also preforming quarterly staff performance meetings in our main location in Jackson, MI. HR Specialist responsibilities include payroll, reviewing and setting up company policies, maintaining updated employee records. To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of full cycle recruiting and solid knowledge of labor laws. Ultimately, you will foster a healthy workplace by ensuring our HR procedures run smoothly at all times.

Responsibilities

Implement training and development plans
Plan quarterly and annual performance review sessions for all staff
Inform employees about additional benefits they’re eligible for (e.g PTO)
Update employee records with new hire information and/or changes in employment status
Maintain organizational charts and detailed job descriptions along with salary records
Forecast hiring needs and ensure recruitment process runs smoothly
Develop and implement HR policies throughout the organizations
Process employees’ queries and respond in a timely manner
Stay up-to-date and comply with changes in labor legislation
Mediator between parties
Perform discipline documentation and and workplace violation
Preform all Unemployment Insurance Agency documentation and requirements
Fulfill the hiring process for new staff ( interviews ) and staff exit ( exit interview )

Skills

Proven work experience as an HR Specialist or HR admin
Solid understanding of labor legislation and payroll process
Familiarity with full cycle recruiting
Comfortable and knowledge with social media recruiting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good problem-solving abilities
Team management skills
BSc/MSc in Human Resources or relevant field
Total number of employees approximately 20 staff with w2 and 1099

Approximate remote numbers of hours per week 3-5 hrs. and approx. 2 hrs. on-site for performance reviews and interviews.

Pay structure 1099, flat pay for above tasks and will increase as more responsibility are added.
